What a wonderful site, I've just discovered it! Thank you for your honest review on this one, you've saved me a few dollars. Although I still am slightly tempted to purchase it for the recipes!

The book sounds wonderful, especially they way you've described this book "beautiful", but the book that thick is always make me think twice before I buy it. Thanks for the great review Duncan.
Cheers,
Elra

I adore beautiful cookbooks, but right now beauty isn't enough to warrant forking out a significant amount of money on a cookbook that I'd be unlikely or unable to cook from. Perhaps if it's available at our local library..

Really enjoyed your review, I have, what I feel is a very good understanding of A day at elBulli now.

I'm sort of with you on this one. I think it's too big and long winded too, but I loved and appreciated the pictures of produce and food in production.
