We’ve been thrilled by the number of new subscribers to the site and have just started using Twitter (thegastronomers) so that even more people can find out about reviews and interesting books on The Gastronomer’s Bookshelf.
We’ve been grateful for encouragement and support from a number of publishers in recent months, including Grub Street, Murdoch Books, Penguin Australia and Simon & Shuster.
In the next few weeks you can look forward to reviews of books about verrines, cooking with flowers, Marco Pierre White, flavour matching, the importance of food in a writer’s troubled life, cooking skills and more. And of course, every week we announce a number of new or interesting books from publishers around the world.
We’ve now added a list of interesting reviews/announcements at the end of every article we publish, so that readers can discover other books that they might like. We’re gradually adding other new features too.
If you’d like to see reviews of certain books, extra features on The Gastronomer’s Bookshelf, or you have other useful suggestions, leave a comment below or just send us a message.
